Non-Degree Tax Micro-Credential Policy Acknowledgement
Non-degree Tax Micro-Credential coursework is suited for individuals interested in taking coursework at the University of Denver for any of the following reasons: (1) gain expertise in specific tax fields without embarking on a full degree pathway, (2) explore a program or strengthen academic history before applying for admission to a graduate degree program, (3) complete a course for professional development or for another degree program outside of DU, or (4) take courses for personal growth.
Admission as a non-degree Tax Micro-Credential student does not guarantee admission to a University of Denver graduate degree program. In the event that the student subsequently wishes to undertake a graduate degree or certificate program at the University of Denver, the regular application procedures must be followed, including the submission of the required application fee. Credit earned as a non-degree student will not be applied to the Juris Doctor (JD) program. All other non-degree coursework must be approved by the Sturm College of Law for transfer into a degree or certificate program. Successful earners of one or more Micro-Credential Badges have the option of applying for the LLM or Master of Taxation degree and applying credits for one Badge to that degree if they pursue a full graduate degree.
Federal financial aid and institutional funding is not available to non-degree Micro-Credential students.
