Holocaust Awareness Institute - Survivor Speakers Bureau
Speaker Request Form
The Survivor Speakers Bureau of the Holocaust Awareness Institute at the University of Denver can connect educators with Holocaust survivors who generously share their time to speak with students and community organizations about their experiences before, during, and after the Holocaust.
Survivor speakers’ presentations generally run between 10-60 minutes at the discretion of the speaker, and include opportunity for Q&A. They are best suited for audiences 12 years of age and older (7th grade and up). Presentations may take place in person or via Zoom.
The events of the Holocaust unfolded over 80 years ago, and the number of survivors who experienced the Holocaust firsthand and are still sharing their stories is decreasing with every year. Please remember that speakers will be sharing private and often traumatic memories, and keep in mind that eyewitnesses to these events are elderly. Your sensitivity to this is critical to planning a successful program.
Speaker requests must be submitted via the form below at least four weeks in advance of your event. We cannot guarantee the availability of a speaker at your requested time.
Please help us to process requests as efficiently as possible by filling out the form completely.
