Psychology Micro-credentials — Application

Thank you for your interest in pursuing a micro-credential in psychology. This quarter-long program is designed to provide you with job-relevant skills and a sharable product in a focused area, making you a more marketable job candidate.

We currently offer three pathways, which will allow you to earn a Micro-credential in either Diversity and Inclusion, Data-informed Decisions, or Mental Health. For each micro-credential, you will
  1. complete 2 required courses,
  2. complete 1 optional course (from a menu of options),
  3. engage in an experiential project (e.g., field experience, research project, internship; you will work with a professor to determine what this will look like for you),
  4. integrate your coursework and your experiential project into a portfolio product that can be shared with potential employers, and
  5. communicate your work in a mock job interview and end-of-year showcase.

If you are interested in earning a micro-credential in one of these areas, please begin by emailing Daniel Storage at Daniel.Storage@du.edu to set up a meeting (e.g., via Zoom). Once you have discussed whether this program is appropriate for you and have developed a plan to complete it, please continue to apply. It's also a good idea to meet with an academic advisor to discuss and plan further, but this is not required.

If you have any questions, please contact Daniel Storage at Daniel.Storage@du.edu.
