Preliminary Survey

IAALS, the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System at the University of Denver, is conducting a study—US Justice Needs For Business—to explore the legal needs of U.S. businesses of all sizes to understand the challenges and legal issues faced over the last four years. This is a companion study that parallels the goals of the recently released US Justice Needs report, which detailed findings related to individuals’ legal needs.

For this study, the research team will conduct interviews via Zoom with key individuals within businesses of all sizes across the country. As an initial step, we ask that you complete this short preliminary questionnaire, which should take about 10-15 minutes and will help us to understand the business demographics in advance of the interview.

Completion of this questionnaire and participation in an interview are completely voluntary and your information will be kept confidential. All reporting on the interview and questionnaire findings, including all publications and presentations, will be presented in the aggregate or as anonymous, non-identifying quotes. We will never directly attribute any finding or any quote to a specific business.

Please feel free to ask questions about this study. If you have any questions about the project or the questionnaire specifically, please feel free to reach out to Logan Cornett, IAALS’ Director of Research, at logan.cornett@du.edu.
