This Math Advising Tool is provided to help you and your advisors determine which MATH course(s) may be appropriate for you. It will begin with some initial questions about your mathematical background and intended major.

Many MATH courses can be used to satisfy the AI-Natural requirement for the University of Denver, which is a part of the common curriculum requirements. This tool will help you identify how you might satisfy the AI-Natural requirement. The results should not be viewed as definitive. The advising team will be working with you over the summer to help finalize your plans.

Depending on your answers to survey questions, the Math Advising Tool may direct you to a math proficiency survey to test your level of preparation for Calculus for Business and Social Science (MATH 1200) and/or Calculus I (MATH 1951). There is no pass or fail associated with this survey and it should not be considered a placement test. Again, the results are intended to help you make the right choice of MATH course.
